How Interchange Plus Pricing Works

Our pricing model is called “interchange plus”, and we are the only healthcare-focused payment processor offering this pricing model. Each card network (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) charges an interchange rate, which is simply how much it costs for a transaction to occur on their network. Payment processors’ fees are higher than the interchange rates as they pay the interchange rate and keep what is left. 

Companies charging a flat rate for all payment processing keep more profit for themselves if the interchange rate of the transaction is lower.
